WSCJTC Certification Legislative Mandates
During the 2021 Legislative Session, Engrossed Second Substitute Senate Bill 5051 (E2SSB 5051) was enacted by the Legislature and signed into law on May 18.
WSCJTC staff will work diligently to provide updated and relevant information to stakeholders on the website. This includes, but is not limited to, policy and procedure updates, information regarding RCW 43.101, canine model policy workgroup information (ESHB 1054), a certification database, and a new complaint process.

On June 30, 2021, Monica Alexander was appointed unanimously by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission today after a nationwide search. Alexander will now be tasked with training the new generation of "guardians of democracy."
